Mataram, 4/6
(ANTARA) - Investors from Kitakyushu City, Japan, is developing clean water distillation methods
with advanced technologies that Photo Voltaic Reverse Osmosis (PV-RO) on the
island of Sumbawa and will be continued on the island of Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara
(NTB ).
"While these first two locations on the island of Sumbawa, Lombok Island and later in the south," said Noriaki Shigeoka, as leader of the company Suido Kiko Kaisha LTD, a company engaged in the field of environmental regulation, after the coordination meeting in the office of the Deputy Governor of NTB, in Mataram, Monday.

"This pilot project that began on the island of Lombok Sumbawa later. At two locations on the island of Sumbawa, was in the stage installation of equipment," he said.
Coordinating efforts with the NTB provincial government related to the development of high technology desalination, it is the second activity.
Earlier, on March 20, 2012, investors from Kitakyushu City, Japan, was met Deputy Governor of NTB H Badrul Munir, to submit plans for pilot projects that.
When met Deputy Governor of NTB, Noriaki accompanied the President Director of PT Bio Greenland Shigeki Yamane and Manager of Administration and Personnel PT Bio Greenland Tita Wahyuningtyas.
However, there is no direct linkage PT Bio Greenland in the project's water distillation. Shigeki as leader of PT Bio Greenland also come from the city of Kitakyushu, Japan, thereby acting as a facilitator for having first move in the NTB.
PT Bio Greenland has developed castor on the island of Sumbawa and Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, since 2009. In fact, it has been built a castor seed plant in the Samapuin village, Sumbawa District, Sumbawa Regency.
Japanese investors were implementing pilot desalination of brackish and sea water into fresh water by the method of P-RO.
Water distillation project budget is derived from the grants Japanese Cooperation Agency (JICA), which is implemented by Suido Kiko Kaisha LTD.
The equipment is valued at one million yen, equivalent to about Rp110 million, which is capable of extracting 500 liters of water / day. Distilled water sourced from wells or river water and the people or seawater.
Water distillation equipment with P-RO method is driven by solar power energy.
Once the pilot project is completed, the equipment will be donated as a grant program. Furthermore, Suido Kiko Kaisha LTD acts as producer to help provide clean water NTB society, especially in areas where the shortage of water and electricity. (*)
